Enrollment and Attendance FAQs
Who can enroll in Nevada Virtual Academy?
Students in grades K–12 who reside anywhere in the state of Nevada are eligible to enroll in Nevada Virtual Academy. For more information about whether your child qualifies or about openings at the school, please call 866.912.3351.
How do I enroll my student?
Parents may submit enrollment applications via the online enrollment process. Enrollment requires submission of the enrollment application form and all required supporting documentation (e.g., proof of age, proof of residence, etc.). An enrollment application is not considered complete unless all required documentation is submitted for review.
How will I know when my student's enrollment has been approved?
The Nevada Virtual Academy Enrollment Processing Center will contact you indicating that your application is complete. An Nevada Virtual Academy enrollment counselor will call you to discuss enrollment in the program and course placement.
Are there any attendance requirements?
Yes. According to state law, Nevada Virtual Academy is required to offer 180 days of instruction in the 2015–2016 school year. Attendance is determined by daily work progression.
What if I move during the year?
You are required to keep your address current with Nevada Virtual Academy. If you move while you are enrolled you need to provide a new proof of residence verification document. Valid documentation includes a utility bill such as gas, electric, water, or cable invoice OR the first and last pages of your Residential Rental Lease or Mortgage Invoice. Any other document will not be accepted as verification of residence. Please Click Here to complete the required request form and to upload your new proof of residence documentation. This link will take you to a Docusign form with instructions for completing the process of changing your residential address.
